During the month of September, we’ve loved getting to know the first of our residents and understanding more what their likes, preferences, and interests are to ensure that they feel relaxed, safe, and stimulated with activities that are personalised to them.
Some of the highlights this month have been enjoying the last of the summer sunshine and getting out in our spacious landscaped garden. Residents enjoyed the fresh air, relaxing, and even doing a spot of gardening. With a choice of gardens, patios and terraces, residents at Boclair are spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor areas.
For some of our other lovely residents, they love nothing more than being pampered on a Sunday. Thanks to our Salon & Nail Bar, residents were able to while away the afternoon with hand massages and manicures whilst our team of talented chefs made an amazing traditional roast dinner for all to enjoy.
We also regularly hold arts & crafts sessions as the benefits are endless, from promoting communication through creativity to evoking feelings of relaxation. We recently had a session where residents decorated some teapots and they are now making a lovely addition to our dining rooms!
Our activities programme is designed with our residents in mind, enabling existing hobbies to be maintained as well as the opportunity to try something new. We also highly value the benefits of socialising and physical activity, so we go to great lengths to ensure that we provide a variety of activities that encompasses all.
