Spooktacular Halloween Fun at Boclair Care Home

Halloween at Boclair Care Home in Bearsden was a frightfully fun day filled with laughter, costumes, and community spirit. Residents, staff, families, and even some special guests came together to celebrate in true spooky style, making it an occasion to remember.
The home was transformed with Halloween decorations, eerie tunes, and plenty of cheerful chatter. Everyone went all out with their costumes this year, with everything from witches and werewolves to ghosts and ghouls roaming the halls. The creativity and effort that went into the costumes were incredible, and it was lovely to see so many smiles throughout the day.

A special thank you goes to all the families and friends who joined us for the party. Seeing everyone take part and have fun together is what makes these events so special. It was not about who had the scariest outfit but about coming together and creating happy memories, and our residents certainly did us proud.
We were also delighted to welcome the children from Kirktonholm Nursery, who added even more excitement to the celebration. The little ones brought plenty of laughter, energy, and a few extra sweets to share, which everyone enjoyed. Their visit is always a highlight for our residents, and it was wonderful to see the generations having fun together.
To top off the day, we even had a surprise “appearance” from Claudia Winkleman, or at least someone who looked very convincing with the famous fringe and a glass of prosecco in hand. The lookalike caused quite a stir and plenty of laughter as residents guessed who she might be.

The party was full of laughter, creativity, and connection. Events like this remind us how much joy comes from spending time together and celebrating as a community. It was a wonderful day that truly captured the spirit of Halloween and left everyone looking forward to our next big event.
