Celebrating Our Latest ‘Very Good’ Care Inspectorate Rating
Here at Boclair Care Home in Bearsden, we are celebrating an overall ‘Very Good’ grade of 5 following its latest Care Inspectorate report.
The unannounced official inspection praised Boclair Care Home for its commitment to residents’ health, wellbeing and quality of life.
The review, which took place across three days, saw Care Inspectorate inspectors spend time with residents, relatives, staff and management, as well as observing daily life within our home.
Inspectors found that people’s health and wellbeing was prioritised, highlighting the knowledge and proactive approach of senior staff and recognising improvements made to the experience of residents during the night.
The report praised the positive and enabling interactions between residents and staff, noting that the team clearly valued positive outcomes for residents’ health and wellbeing. Inspectors also highlighted that managers had an effective overview of the service and were visible and proactive in their approach.
The inspection also found that residents were supported to maintain their health, meaningful relationships and independence, with our activities programme helping people remain active and engaged with their interests and with others.
Residents themselves shared positive feedback, telling inspectors they were “well looked after”, while relatives described our care as “fantastic” and “second to none.”
