At Boclair, we have an expert team of Chefs and kitchen staff that provide residents with meals of the highest quality. When presenting residents with menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, they take into specific consideration any dietary requirements, preferences and particular favourites to make meal times an enjoyable experience for everybody.

As well as our varied menus, our home features a private dining room. This can be used by residents for any occasion ideal for them including spending time with their loved ones or celebrating special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries. We make resident wellbeing our top priority at Boclair and therefore we strive to provide suitable, nutritious, and well-balanced meals during all day parts.

A Dining Experience Designed Around You

At Boclair, mealtimes are personal, meaningful, and thoughtfully planned. Every resident receives a Nutritional Passport upon moving in, capturing their food preferences, dislikes, hydration needs, dining style, and even how they take their tea, right down to whether they prefer jam or marmalade on toast. This information feeds directly into their care plan and helps shape a dining experience that’s truly tailored to them.

Menus are created on a seasonal four-week rotation, with dishes evolving throughout the year to reflect fresh ingredients and changing tastes. Residents (and even relatives) have input into meals via feedback forms, and our chef personally meets with residents to gather their views. From Sunday roasts to the ever-popular fish and chip Fridays, mealtimes are varied, comforting, and built around what our residents enjoy most. We also embrace celebration with themed food days such as Chinese New Year or retro 70s-style menus, adding a bit of flavour and fun to the week.

An All-Inclusive Menu That is Suitable for All

Each of our six units has its own dedicated dining area, and residents are always welcome to enjoy in-room dining if they’d rather eat in their own space. For special occasions, our private dining room can also be reserved for a more intimate meal with loved ones, and our chef is happy to provide buffet-style catering to make the moment extra special.

Throughout the day, a variety of snacks, cakes, and refreshments are available on individual units – many of which are freshly baked by our in-house chef. Whether it’s tea and cake in the afternoon or a quick nibble between meals, there’s always something tempting on hand. We also run food-based activities on an ad hoc basis, giving residents the chance to get involved in the kitchen or try something new. With hydration stations, snack boxes, and a strong focus on nutritional monitoring, every resident’s health and well-being is fully supported.

Our on-site chef and kitchen staff undergo continuous training to ensure they provide nutritious and delicious meals to our residents. They collaborate closely with our residents, carefully considering their preferences to prepare meals that everyone can enjoy.

Residents have various dining options available to them, including our communal dining room, private dining room, personal bedrooms, and weather permitting, dining outside in our garden.

Certainly, you will have full control over your meal choices, selecting from our seasonal and diverse menu. You can opt for items from the provided menus, or chat with our kitchen staff to explore alternative options.
