Our teams at Boclair Care Home work tirelessly to provide residents with a plethora of activities to allow them to fill their days, however they choose. We believe that our residents should choose to partake in whatever makes them happy whether that be only doing in-home activities, or joining us on our outings and excursions too. Our complete activities programme works hand in hand with our individualised care plans and is tailored to those who live a quiet or more active lifestyle.

Our Activities Coordinator and their team come up with regular activities for residents to enjoy that are both full of fun and have positive benefits to their health and wellbeing which overall is always our top priority. Our complete activities programme can include anything from games afternoons, dance and singing classes, gardening, or enjoying the local community and all that it has to offer.

At Boclair Care Home, we believe every day should be filled with opportunities to do something enjoyable, meaningful, and unique to each resident. Our Activities Coordinator works closely with residents to design a programme that offers freedom of choice, independence, and a healthy dose of fun – all while knowing that our expert team is right there to lend a hand when needed.

Residents are actively involved in planning what goes on through regular forums and meetings, helping to shape everything from the daily schedule to special one-off events. Whether it’s a group yoga session, a lively game of football, or a relaxing 1-to-1 activity tailored to those with varying mobility needs, there’s always something to look forward to.

Our activities programme is designed to cater for all interests and abilities, combining larger group events with personal activities for those who prefer a quieter pace. Residents can enjoy a wide range of options including nursery visits, online church services every Sunday, bird watching, entertainment shows, arts and crafts, dance classes, and even a regular visit from the hairdresser to keep everyone looking and feeling their best.

Whenever the weather allows, we love to take activities outdoors, using our beautiful gardens and balcony area as the perfect backdrop for fresh-air fun. Family and loved ones are encouraged to join in too – whether it’s a community event, a garden party, or simply spending quality time together.

We are thrilled to provide a wide array of activities and opportunities. These range from planned day trips that encompass shopping and leisure activities to in-home activities like pamper days and quizzes, which aims to suit a range of interests.

The events we regularly hold at Boclair include summer garden BBQs, Halloween parties, charity events and plenty of Christmas events all of which family members can attend.
