Residents competed in sports such as bowling, javelin and many others. It was great to see their determination and focus during their attempts to achieve the highest score. Residents were very supportive of one another which demonstrated the wonderful friendships we have at Boclair.
Each resident was rewarded with a medal at the end of the day for their enthusiastic participation which they were delighted with. This sports day brought lots of laughter and fun to Boclair and we wanted our residents to benefit from the physical activity it provided as well as the social interaction and motor skill function.
It was great fun, everyone competing and taking part just for the fun of it, we have a very competitive bunch at Boclair – no matter what age you are you can still have fun and be active. Our oldest participant was 99 years old which just goes to show age is just a number!
